Ben Evardone lauds Andy Bautista’s ‘honorable’ resignation

Now, he’ll get the much-needed break to address his family problems and court cases.

Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone supported the decision of Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Andres Bautista to hand in his resignation effective end of the year, saying that it will help him sort out his issues.

Apart from freeing the Comelec from controversies, Evardone said Bautista stepping down would allow him to focus on his personal life instead.

“The decision of Comelec Chairman Bautista to resign was an honorable move on his part. It will free the Comelec as an institution from the possibility of being dragged into the legal issues that he is facing,” Evardone said.

“It will also give him more precious time to his children and to address his legal battles.”

It’s a break from all the drama.
